You only need to speak his name around an Arsenal fan and they will tell you how much is expected of him in the coming season. The young Englishman made his competitive debut over a year ago now and he already has both FA Cup and Champions League experience. Most recently he staked his claim for a regular first team place as he performed excellently in the 2009 Emirates cup, he played in both games against Athletico Madrid and Rangers. He was awarded man of the match in both games and scored two fine goals against rangers which helped arsenal win the pre-season tournament. He seems to turn everything he touches into gold and at such a young age he is already a fan’s favourite and could soon become the spearhead of the Gunners attack. Who says Mr Wenger doesn’t like English players ha ha?
